Saturday, March 17th to May 30th - SHG regular hours and on special events.
The Art exhibition features womxn of color that are honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Walkouts focusing on their contributions and intergenerational organizing. The exhibition includes archival material, work by walkout participants, and new work inspired by the movement.
Exhibiting Artists include:
Andi Xoch, Bianka Miranda, Claudia Bibiano, Clover, Gabriela Yoque, Claudia D. Hernández, FE (Felicia Montes), Gabriella Claro, Joan Zeta, Las Fotos Project, Liliflor Arte, Margaret Quica Alarcon, Marisol Torres, Margarita Cuaron, Ramona Garcia/ Nancy Ledesma, Norma Coronado, Sarah Habib, Stephanie Godoy, and Soledad Alatorre. As well as archival items from Innercity Struggle, and the Cal State LA Special Collections archive of Gloria Arellanes.
Exhibition runs from March 17th to May 30th during regular hours and on special events.
This project is in collaboration with Mujeres de Maiz, Self Help Graphics & Art, Innercity Struggle, and The California Endowment.
