WE RISE 2022
The WE RISE Mujeres de Maiz project offers interactive art and wellness workshops and pop ups that focus on holistic modalities to address mental, physical and emotional health. These intergenerational workshops provide professional facilitators in their prospective fields of art, wellness, and educational entertainment to activate space, facilitate artistic and creative community collaboration, educate, and create healthy and safe spaces for diverse communities.
WHAT IS WE RISE...
WE RISE is an initiative of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health that encourages wellbeing and healing through art, connection, community engagement, and creative expression.
WE RISE 2022: BY US, FOR US is a series of community-led events that support health and healing across Los Angeles County. A collaborative impact initiative, WE RISE 2022 invests in local organizations, artists and leaders to strengthen community wellbeing.
Throughout Mental Health Awareness Month in May, community partners provide access to resources and opportunities for connection through art installations, cultural experiences and other community engagement projects.
