CIRCLES
Coyolxauhqui is the moon goddess in Aztec mythology. The monthly full moon circle is a women’s gathering derived from this myth and based on contemporary Indigenous teachings of respect, healing and interconnectedness. “Full Moon” is run mainly as a talking circle and is a space for women to learn, share and gain introductory knowledge to Indigenous teachings. This event has occurred monthly since November 2010. Check our calendar page for our next full moon circle!

Self Care StatioN
Whether your organizing an event, a meeting, a march, a conference or a space that needs it– support your community by offering a wellness and self care station.
Mujeres de Maiz via la Botanica del Barrio can bring the mobile cart (by request) or offer a station in your space (table, room, etc.) to offer decompression, and downtime for participants.
These stations are stocked with wellness items good to offer a safe space to breath deeper, rest, and decompress from the event or outside world.
They include a full wellness “buffet” of aromatherapy sprays, teas, glycerites, essensces, stones, incenses, coloring and writing prompts, books and quotes to support your community.
