Participants will engage in a candle-lit Cacao & Movement Ritual activating the energy centers of the body relating to Anahuaka (MesoAmerican) teachings while exploring Nahuatl poetry, music, self-love through body painting, sensuality, consent, joy and pleasure. Laura Yohualtlahuiz & Polaris Castillo will create a safe and platonic environment designed to disrupt colonial and intergenerational taboos surrounding sexuality and sensuality based on the Huehuetlatohlli (Cantares Mexicanos) and the Florentine Codex, as documented by Mesoamerican historian Miguel Leon-Portilla in his last publication before becoming an ancestor, Erótica Nahuatl. Participants will receive a sensuality gift with their registration that includes anointing oils, teas, incense, and healing stones in addition to a live sketch scribed by Polaris during our practice.

***This movement ritual is an offering led by Cihuatlatohki Laura Yohualtlahuiz in collaboration with Talkuilo Polaris Castillo based on their research on Nahuatl Erotica as mentioned in the Huehuetlatohlli (Cantares Mexicanos) and the Florentine Codex as documented by the late historian, Miguel Leon-Portilla. By registering participants agree to not replicate or conduct this ritual in public or for profit without explicit consent and guidance from Laura Yohualtlahuiz, a traditional Culture Bearer of Anahuaka teachings, in order to honor the traditional transmission of the ritual practices and knowledge shared in the space.
