Bio:

Linda Vallejo has over forty years of experience as a development consultant and grantwriting instructor.

She has written and received millions of dollars in grant funds from foundation, corporate, government and individual donors for her many clients nationwide.

Over the past twenty years, Ms. Vallejo has served as an on-line grantwriting instructor with Education to Go teaching in over 2,500 colleges and universities nationwide.

Recently she served as a grantwriting consultant for Opera a La Carte, Pasadena, CA and 18th Street Art Center in Santa Monica, CA: as a grantwriting instructor for Loyola Marymount University Extension Non-Profit Fundraising Certificate Program; and as the grantwriting consultant for Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) a charter school management and development organization headquartered in Burbank, California.

For the past five years she has served as a visiting grantwriting instructor for Otis School of Art and Design Public Practice MFA Program in Los Angeles, California and Cal State University, Long Beach, Professional Practices MFA Program.

Services:

Linda Vallejo teaches grantwriting workshops and seminars for non profit organizations and individual artists; works with non-profit organizations to implement grantwriting campaigns; and provides grantwriting professional development opportunities for staff.

She also works with individual artists to locate and submit grants for individuals, fellowships and residencies.

Workshops Available:

A to Z Grant Writing for the Individual Artist

3 Hour Workshop - $50

Artists will learn the process of submitting proposals for fellowships, teaching grants, and residencies. Linda will conduct an open dialogue about how to write an artist statement and guide the group in a preliminary writing process. Linda will serve as instructor and mentor, welcoming participants to engage in the learning process by asking questions and joining in the conversation.

Prerequisite: None

Materials and Supplies: Participants will receive an A to Z Grantwriting Individual Artist Manual including a list of artist grant opportunities as well as several samples and tools.
